Singapore

We went to Singapore as a stopping off point to Malaysia, but we were glad that we did. We only had about 5 days there but enjoyed it. There wasn't a lot to do so the time we had there was perfect for us... and magical. We made the end of the Chinese New year, so we caught a few of the perks such as... the lights and one show which we only caught the end of but we saw a dragon. Emma was too chicken to go up and take pictures with the dragon men when we saw them on the street. So sad, so sad.

The Buddah Tooth Relic Temple, true to its name, had lots of Buddahs. The Lotus Buddah above is about 8 feet tall and surrounded by the protectors. Next to him is the protector of the year of the rooster (thats us). He was definitely the most fierce looking protector and the only one with flames, so we are all good, but the rest of you had pretty tame looking protectors. It was one of the most impressive and breathtaking structures we have seen so far.

This is us in front of the Merlion... the iconic figure of Singapore, but we never found out why it was iconic. Sounds cool though, and it was a sight to behold. whooo. Next to it is a sight that some wish they had not beheld (emma), a whole shoe store filled with shoes already filled.

Tony's first night in Singapore was spent on a mattress on the floor due to an overbooking, but right outside our hostel was a pedestrian only street with little shops and an amazing Moroccan resturant. I (Tony) found a new love in Moroccan tea. (we dont know why this is underlined and we cant turn it off) help me the line keeps following me ahhhh runnnn!

This is a Hindu Temple, Sri Mariamman Temple... thats all we got. It was very pretty with amazing colors and intricacies.

Next stop Borneo
